World will turn – time will tell Lady Luck will cast her spell Make the most of here and now The world will keep on turning anyhow It matters now more than life itself Deep in love that burns and hurts like hell But what’ll it matter a million years from now We’ll all be burned to stardust anyhow You have to try and change your point of view Stand outside and take a look at you What’ll it matter when seen from over there You’ll look at you and do you think you’ll care And what’ll it matter that you feel so sad And all of your dreams have turned sour and gone bad anyhow And what’ll it matter ‘bout me, about you Or anything that we may say or may do anyhow World will turn – time will tell Lady Luck will cast her spell Make the most of here and now The world will keep on turning anyhow We’re all caught up in time inside our heads Counting coffee spoons until we’re dead So why not just enjoy the here and now The world will keep on turning anyhow

Take your time now Floating by yourself will do you fine Take it slow now Stepping lightly nothing on your mind And nothing and nobody can touch you Nothing and nobody can hurt you If you only take your time Drift along now Anywhere you want to you can go Keep it slow now Time is right that’s all you need to know And nothing and nobody can hold you Nothing and nobody controls you If you only take your time Time is there to make sure Everything just doesn’t happen all at once Space is where you take the time To make the most of each experience And learn to shine Let it flow now Feel the future shaping in your mind Keep it slow now Everything will come to you in time And nothing and nobody can reach you Nothing and nobody can beat you If you only take your time Only take your time

Scars on the land…lines in the sand… There’s a shadow on our soul In the shape of Black Gold Between the mountains and the sky Where we spit in God’s eye Scars on the land…lines in the sand… And there’s a battle for the night Between the dark and the light We rape the desert and the green To chase industrial dreams Between denial and the lies We feel the temperatures rise Can we acknowledge what we know Or will we reap what we sow? It doesn’t matter if you lean to the left or the right It doesn’t matter where you say you stand We share only one world, one chance to get it right And heal the scars on the land Scars on the land...lines in the sand...

I’m in the middle of nowhere I’m in the middle of nowhere I’m in the middle of nowhere So far from you I’m in the middle of nowhere I’m in a place out of time I’m lost in a cloud I can’t see my way out I’m in a state of confusion Feel like I’m an illusion I’m all in a haze I’ve seen better days I used to be fine With you by my side Now I feel way off the mark Where did you go Who turned out the lights Now it’s a dance in the dark Between a rock and a hard place Don’t know which way to turn I’m frozen in flight I got nowhere to run I used to be fine With you by my side Now I feel way off the mark Where did you go Who turned out the lights Now it’s a dance in the dark I’m in the middle of nowhere I’m in the middle of nowhere I’m in the middle of nowhere So far from you

Don’t hide your dreams – they’ll wither in the dark Hold tight your dreams and keep them in your heart It’ll be alright, it’ll be alright, it’ll be alright Listen to your heart Take all your dreams and fly them to the sun Don’t listen if they say you’ll crash and burn It’ll be alright, it’ll be alright, it’ll be alright Take your dreams and run Don’t listen if they say that you’re a fool The ugly duckling turned out pretty cool Listen to your heart Take aim for the stars Be yourself and you’ll be wonderful Don’t listen when they say be like the rest Go your own way – set out on your quest It’ll be alright, it’ll be alright, it’ll be alright Just try to be the best Don’t listen when they lecture golden rules A rebel with a cause is no-one’s fool Listen to your heart Take aim for the stars Be yourself and you’ll be wonderful Don’t hide your dreams – they’ll wither in the dark Hold tight your dreams and keep them in your heart It’ll be alright, it’ll be alright, it’ll be alright Just listen to your heart

We all know the song about the tears of a clown Behind the painted smile he’s really wearing a frown Hides a broken heart behind a greasepaint mask The show must tumble on no matter he’s downcast Oh-ho, it’s a hard knock life Oh-ho, it’s trouble and it’s strife Oh-ho, it cuts you like a knife You gotta toughen up boy and face up to life Rip that heart from offa your sleeve Smile that smile as if you believe Play the clown and dance to deceive You gotta toughen up boy - life is such a wheeze, oh-ho We all got the shining and the Nicholson smile Life is a circus artiste dripping with guile We all want the limelight and the ringmaster’s hat But Hotel California’s where the party’s at Oh-ho, it’s a hard knock life Oh-ho, it’s trouble and it’s strife Oh-ho, it cuts you like a knife You gotta toughen up boy and face up to life, oh-ho Rip that heart from offa your sleeve Smile that smile as if you believe Play the clown and dance to deceive You can check out any time But you can never leave Oh-ho, it’s a hard knock life Oh-ho, it’s trouble and it’s strife Oh-ho, it cuts you like a knife You gotta toughen up boy and face up to life, oh-ho

Through the times we had together I seldom let it show I thought that you would know I loved you And now it seems you’re gone forever And I’m here on my own A lonely man without a plan To make it through a day without your love And all the time that we were lovers You never ran away You knew just what to say to make me strong And when I’d try to run for cover Your smile would make me stay But now I need to find a way To make it through a day without your love Now I must face the morning Sun Knowing I’ll be waking up alone Without the joy that used to come When I’d awake and find you there The morning soft upon your hair And visions of a life I’d share with you So if it seems at times I miss you I hope you’ll understand It’s not because I planned to tie you down But I would give the world to kiss you Or even touch your hand But as it is I only live To make it through a day without your love

How many times you said if only I’d tried How many times you felt if only I’d cried How many times you thought I should not have lied Oh, it pays for you to listen to the angel inside You don’t need Ten Commandments to know wrong from right You sure don’t need no burning bush to tell dark from light You’re born with a conscience – an angel inside Oh, it pays for you to listen to the voice in your mind And any time you feel alone Listen to the voice inside and know You’re part of something whole We’re all connected all the time Oh, it pays for you to listen to the voice in your mind It’s like – Go down Moses, take your people home Too long in the desert you left them to roam Gather the children before storm clouds come Hear the voice and make the choice and don’t be alone And any time you feel all by yourself Listen to the voice inside and know You’re part of something else We’re six degrees apart at most You’ve only got to listen and you’ll never get lost Listen to the voice inside And you will always get it right There’s an angel in your mind Listen to the voice inside Then take someone’s hand Walk to the Promised Land And together we’ll make a stand Listen to the voice inside There’s an angel in your mind Listen to the voice inside Be like Moses, take your people home Be like Moses, take your people home Be like Moses, take your people home

All the friends that I have known They’ve been around for oh so long To help me through When the night is lonely And filled with only a song And when the Sun refused to shine Casting shadows ‘cross my mind With thoughts of leaving it All behind me They tried to help me get by And all the friends that I have found They’ve always been around when I need them The greatest treasure a man can own Is all the friends I’ve known

about

Remixed, remastered and reissued, August, 2019.

Our goal when we started work on this, our fifth album together, was to wrap up everything sometime in mid-2013. Well, we made it...with time to spare.

Not bad for a couple of digitally itinerant musicians who remain separated by that not-insignificant body of water called the Atlantic Ocean.

Someday, the two of us will meet...in person. Until then, our music continues to draw us together in a way that transcends distance.

With the release of "Middle of Nowhere", more of that music is now ready to flow from our minds to your ears...and is available for free download, to boot! (If we were in it for the money, we'd be brain surgeons...or hedge-fund managers! lol)

Enjoy...
